I'm Chelisa C., the breeder behind Chelisa's Dachshunds located in Sulphur Rock, AR. We are dedicated to providing our families with healthy, family pets. We own both parents, and we ensure they are vet-checked and dewormed. Our pets are healthy and happy. Our babies are a part of our family, and we want the same for the families who care for them. They are all AKC registered.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    My male came from Good Dog. My female needed a friend, and I needed another companion as well. Both of my dachshunds complete our lives. Both are so sweet and loving, and have precious, beautiful babies. This is my first trial at breeding/rehoming. I've read others' stories and want to give this a try to help brighten someone else's lives and make their family complete just as I've experienced.

  • What makes your program special?

    We are not any more special than the others, but our pets are loved unconditionally and well-kept. They are AKC registered and attend every vet appointment. They are a part of our family. Our pets are healthy and are up-to-date on all vaccinations. There will be pre-paid AKC registrations with all our pets. They will also be up-to-date on vaccinations, have a first vet check, and be dewormed.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies include miniature and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include fawn (isabella), black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Chelisa

Chelisa has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,300 - $1,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes a pre-paid AKC registration, vaccination, vet check, deworming, and the puppy's own welcome home puppy kit/folder with extra resources and a litter certificate. The deposit goes towards the purchase of the puppy. The deposit is non-refundable as it is meant to "claim" a puppy for you until the complete payment is made.”

Contract & health guarantee

Chelisa may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
