Heike F.

Breeder of Chesapeake Bay Retrievers

Meet the breeder

I'm Heike F., the breeder behind Chessieville Bay Enterprises LLC located in Washington, NJ. Our dogs are our beloved companions. We care deeply about this breed and are proud to be responsible Chesapeake breeders. When we bring a life into the world, we make sure it gets the best start possible. This includes proper health care and socialization for each puppy, but it starts even earlier than birth. We set our puppies up for success by carefully selecting the parents of each litter, keeping in mind factors such as health, temperament, conformation, ability, and drive. Our goal is to produce well-balanced puppies and find them loving, responsible homes.

Q. & A. with Heike

  • Why did you start breeding?

After 30 years of Corporate, I had my first Chessie in the mid 90ties, I evolved into becoming a hobby breeder, average one to two litters a year and a certified dog trainer.
  • What makes your program special?

We train on site, no kennel dogs, every single breeding is very special to us, and we decided 100% of our time to the puppies.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
