Meet the breeder

I'm Kerri C., the breeder behind Chikito's Yorkies located in Forest Hill, MD. All our adults have had genetic health testing, have champion show lines, and we even own some with International and World Champions in their lineage! Our Sire is a 3 time Champion. We focus on quality, and temperament. We work with our puppies hands-on from day one using ENS (early neurological stimulation therapy). We are delighted to provide our babies to loving families and service homes throughout the country.

Q. & A. with Kerri

  • Why did you start breeding?

My love for Yorkies started back in my twenties when I got my first Yorkshire Terrier, Ellie. She was a wonderful angel that made my life brighter each and every day. Ellie's legacy inspired me to start my breeding program and produce beautiful babies for families to enjoy and cherish just as much as I have. I feel very lucky to represent this amazing breed and continue making families happy with our babies
  • What makes your program special?

Our mission statement is to be an ethical Yorkshire Terrier owner in good standing while promoting this great breed by maintaining its health status, unique nature, temperament, and breed characteristics. We strive to provide top-quality Yorkies to loving families and service homes throughout the country. Our Yorkshire Terriers have strong genetically sound lineage/pedigrees and all of our adults have been genetically tested for common Yorkie health related issues and are negative. We provide lifelong support to all our fur parents.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black and tan, blue and gold, and black and gold. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Kerri was so quick to respond. This was my very first time reaching out to a breeder through good dog and I wasn't sure what to expect. In less than an hour Kerri replied to my initial request and continued the conversation answering all my questions, sending additional photos and even a video.

Working with Kerri was a pleasure. She cares so much about her dogs. It was very reassuring to know that Ch Sired Prince Benny (Little Joey) was in good hands while I waited two weeks to bring him home with me; and Kerri sent me photos and videos of the puppy in the meantime. Little Joey has brought me so much joy; and he's a very smart little guy. GK
