I'm Hebe A., the breeder behind Chosen Road Keep Pomeranians located in Ramseur, NC. I focus on producing dogs that exemplify the breed standard; breed-appropriate health testing; genetic testing for health and color attributes; and calm and steady temperament.
Q. & A. with Hebe
Why did you start breeding?
I started with a single well-bred male and worked with his breeder to identify a pair of females that were a good fit for him (genetics, structure, temperament). I found a mentor close to me, found a good reproductive vet, and did tons of research. I'm slowly building my program, soft culling as I go, and working toward a specific goal of excellence.
What makes your program special?
I'm committed to doing all appropriate health testing and being completely transparent about the results. My dogs are with me 18 hours a day and I spend the time and money to know what they are, inside and out. I recently included Puppy Culture protocols into my program and am pleased with the results. I stand behind the dogs I place for their entire lives.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are cream. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
