I'm Christy M., the breeder behind Christy's pampered Shibas located in Queen Creek, AZ. We are a boutique breeder that loves to raise and train our puppies so they are beloved family members. We have protocols to ensure the health and well-being of our dogs. It’s our top priority to make sure each of our puppy families welcomes a happy and healthy new family member into their homes!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    After falling in love with the breed - their personalities - and their history - I wanted to share this love with others while preserving the breed standards of the Shiba Inu.

  • What makes your program special?

    I maintain a small boutique program, never more than 1-2 litters max per year. I raise these litters inside my home - not a kennel. My breeding program is based on preservation of the Shiba standards, starting with Champion pedigrees and fully health and OFA health tested parents. The puppies are cared for and raised as if I were keeping them myself to ensure they have the best start in life!

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies are cream. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Getting a puppy from Christy

Christy has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Christy partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

“Beginning at 6 weeks, puppies are starting to be evaluated for temperaments and personalities which lead to the best placements with families based on those evaluations and the new family dynamics. The puppies will be ready for their new homes on July 19, 2026 at 8 weeks of age ”

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“purebred and Champion pedigreed. Deworming, initial vaccines, litter registration, vet health checks, 1 yr health guarantee w/new owners ensuring proper vet care and all necessary shots/deworming protocols. Both parents have been OFA health and health checks. All records, breed information, training guidelines, initial socialization and basic initial puppy training provided. Full registration will be issued after proof of neutering at 6 months of age. These are companion pet puppies.”

Contract & health guarantee

Christy may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Vet Wellness Exam

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
