Clearwater Labradors

Lara N.

Breeder of Labrador Retrievers

Meet the breeder

I'm Lara N., the breeder behind Clearwater Labradors located in Cook County, IL. My ultimate goal is to breed Labradors who meet the standard with both looks and temperament. The goal we set and which I believe is still the most important, is to produce healthy puppies that make a well-rounded character in an adult dog. Sometimes the most ordinary things can be made extraordinary simply by doing them with a Labrador.

Q. & A. with Lara

  • Why did you start breeding?

I always wanted to breed but it wasn't until I purchased a beautiful black girl that I was able to put a CH, JH, CGC, and AWC on. My passion for quality puppies is my goal. Happy, sound, and healthy dogs who can do it all.
  • What makes your program special?

I strongly believe in health testing all breeding dogs including for the dilute gene. I also believe in titling dogs to show their intelligence and biddability. It is extremely important to breed good representations of the breed.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
