  • Why did you start breeding?

    Hunter grew up around responsible dog breeding, learning from his family’s hands-on experience. Breeding was a natural step for both of us, combining hands-on experience, animal care knowledge, and a shared commitment to raising quality dogs.

  • What makes your program special?

    We focus on health-tested lines, solid temperaments, and structured early development. Puppies are raised in a clean, in-home environment with consistent handling, enrichment, and socialization. Our goal is to produce well-balanced puppies suited for family life.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include chocolate and cream, black and tan, black and cream, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Hunter

Hunter has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Puppy prices include a $600 non-refundable deposit and between $1,400 - $4,400 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Each puppy includes a health certificate, age-appropriate deworming, and first round of vaccinations. Puppies are vet-checked before going home and raised with early socialization to support a smooth transition into their new homes. The deposit (same for all pups) holds your puppy and helps ensure a safe, timely placement. In some cases, deposits may be refundable.”

Hunter may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Full Embark Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    We have not had a dog in nearly 30 years! I spent months researching the best breeders in the country as well as mini dachshunds. After much decision making I contacted Hunter - from my first communication which was answered very quickly I knew he was the right breeder for us. We had numerous messages and emails and we decided on "Gibson" a beautiful dapple mini dachshund. He has been only with us three days and has been remarkable - his potty training by Hunter has resulted in nearly an 75-85% accuracy for us on pee pads - he has come in contact with our daughters and grandkids and you can tell that his socialization training was excellent. Our experience with Hunter was outstanding and Gibson is a remarkable puppy and a great addition for us. Hunter's advice and counsel during our waiting period helped us purchase and organize our house for "Gibson's" arrival. after much soul searching in getting a dog after so many years we couldn't be happier.     Hunter has made getting our new best friend so easy and comfortable. He answered every question we had and was very timely with his responses. When meeting hunter to get our new buddy (beau) you can tell that the puppies are raised in a clean and loving environment. Once we got beau home he was very sociable and playful. Beau has a big personality and very intelligent. I would recommend hunter to anyone looking for an addition to their family.
