Meet the breeder

I'm Dianna S., the breeder behind Cockapoo Companions located in Amherst, OH. Our puppies are raised in our home and socialized early on with children, adults and other dogs. Our puppies have been introduced to early neurological stimulation exercises and early scent introduction. Evaluation of personalities are made and will assist in helping the puppy selection process.

Q. & A. with Dianna

  • Why did you start breeding?

In 2001 our family was introduced to the Cockapoo breed. I absolutely fell in love with this lovable, intelligent, devoted companion that is so good with babies, children and adults. I have had two if not three Cockapoos in my family home at all times ever since. I cannot imagine life without them. In 2003 I started breeding my beloved Poohbear.
  • What makes your program special?

I have devoted myself to learning how to be a responsible breeder and produce high quality puppies. I have invested in genetic testing, OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) certification for eyes, hips and patellas to ensure inferior genetic health traits are not being passed on through my breeding program.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are tiny size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

We are so fortunate to have chosen Dianna as a breeder. I was impressed with how promptly she responded to queries and how often she sent updates, pictures and critical information regarding the process. Dianna keeps her puppies and moms in her home and interacts with them regularly so they are very well socialized and truly loved from day one. She introduces them to pee pads and litter boxes early so Teddie already was inclined to use peep pads. She also introduced them to other trusted dogs in the family and to family members so Teddie was accustomed to being around others. The pups were cuddled and cleaned and well cared for. Clearly, Dianna was clearly missing the pups that had been picked up already when we came to get Teddie. We send her pix of Teddie in her new home and keep in touch with her. Teddie is beautiful, healthy, and playful. She’s very quick to pick up on Come and Sit commands. We highly recommend Dianna and her pups! We have given her name to a couple close friends, already. Thanks Dianna for being such a loving caring mom to your broods! Sandy

I enjoyed working with Dianna to get my precious Molly. She answered all my questions and helped me with hiring a nanny and kept in touch until Molly was in my arms. Molly made herself at home immediately and adjusted to our schedule quickly. She is smart and so much fun. Her first visit to the vet was great and the vet said she was perfect!

Had a fantastic experience from start to finish! Dianna was very responsive to any questions I had and sent me videos of Poppy to keep me up to date until I could go and meet her. She was extremely knowledgeable and absolutely adored her puppies! She was also very accommodating to my needs Poppy came microchipped, regularly wormed and up to date with her shots, Dianna had also got fit to fly paperwork for her Dianna is extremely organised, I was given all the paperwork relating to Poppy's health, her parentage and also lots of advice relating to Poppy I had spent almost 2 years searching for the right cockapoo from a good breeder and even though it was a plane ride away it was well worth it!!! If you want a happy, healthy puppy look no further!
