I'm Kristie(mother)/Shelby(daughter) C., the breeder behind Colbert Doxies located in Olmsted Falls, OH. I run a small breeding program that allows me to give each of my puppies, dogs, and breedings the proper care and attention they each deserve. I am dedicated to providing happy, healthy, and well-socialized pups for others to welcome into their family. I love my pups and know you will love them, too.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I am purposeful in everything I do regarding my dogs, including careful selection of breeding dogs and extensive health testing. My goal is to produce healthy dogs with great temperaments, working drives, and conformation that are exemplary representations of the breed.

  • What makes your program special?

    I care about the Dachshund breed and do everything in my power to breed sound dogs to ensure healthy and happy puppies. My puppies’ health and wellbeing are my main priorities. By creating an environment of serenity and care for my puppies, we give each precious pup the very best chance to reach their potential, express their unique personality, and have a loving, well-rounded temperament.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include longhaired and smooth coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include cream, red, black, chocolate, brindle, black and cream, fawn (isabella) and cream, chocolate and tan, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Puppy prices include a $250 non-refundable deposit and between $550 - $2,250 final payment, before taxes & fees.

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
