Meet the breeder

I'm Jessica G., the breeder behind Cold Mountain Collies located in West Jefferson, NC. We offer quality, loving pets for your family to enjoy! Our dogs are bred for health and temperament. All collies are very sweet, loving dogs. They are protective and lifelong friends.

Q. & A. with Jessica

  • Why did you start breeding?

We got into breeding over 10 years ago. Our collie Biscuit was such a sweet dog. We had 2 big litters with her. We love these dogs so much. Collies have the best temperament and are so loving and loyal.
  • What makes your program special?

We take good care of our dogs. They all stay outside year round and they love it! Their double coat keeps them cool when it’s hot and warm when it’s cold. We spend lots of time with our dogs. They love people and love to play. They’d cuddle all day if they could.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies have rough coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include blue merle and white, sable merle and white, sable and white, sable merle, black white and tan, blue merle, and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Cold Mountain Collies gave me the best experience! They sent me photos of my pup until I came and picked him up. He’s grown to be my best friend and best dog!
