Q. & A. with Helen
Why did you start breeding?
Colindy Labs is a small hobby kennel that was started by me and my friend, Elaine DeLucia. We met when we first delved into the world of dog shows. Elaine was showing her yellow boy, Colin, and I was showing my black boy, Indy. After spending a couple of years trying to convince ourselves we would never be breeders, along came Darla. And you can't be a breeder without a kennel name. So we took the plunge and, combining our two boys, we became Colindy Labs. Our dogs work hard, play hard, love hard, and are part of the family. We prepare all of our pups to excel in life.
What makes your program special?
We love the Labrador Retriever breed. Our dogs have brought us so much joy and happiness that we wanted to give back to them by producing the highest quality dogs and providing them a wonderful life with loving families. Our goal is to not only produce beautiful puppies but to help promote responsible breeding in order to ensure that the Labrador Retriever will continue to thrive for generations to come. We are very dedicated to what we do and what we are trying to achieve as breeders. Our dogs are proven champions in the ring and in the hearts of their forever families.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and chocolate. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
