Q. & A. with CJ
Why did you start breeding?
They say if you do what you love it's not work! My dogs are my passion! Colorado Mini Dachshunds got started several years ago with the purchase of our first Dachshund, Holla, and we have been addicted to the breed every since!! We could not pass up the opportunity to have more dogs to love, share our passion with others, and becoming part of the reputable breeding community such as Good Dog!
What makes your program special?
Our Mini Dachshunds are well socialized! When we say healthy we mean standards... we test our dogs and do not breed bad health traits! Our specialty is breeding the best bloodlines with most unique colors. Every detail is important to us from the beginning starting with the sires & dams chosen for breeding, conception, and then finally the litters!
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include smooth, wirehaired, and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include piebald, red, wild boar, chocolate, fawn (isabella), brindle, black and tan, chocolate and tan, black and cream, blue and tan, wild boar and tan, fawn (isabella) and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

CJ was amazing, the care she gives her puppies in regards to vet care to make sure her puppies are healthy is amazing, she kept us updated with pictures as she grew before pick up too. Upon pick up of our sweet Libby, CJ made sure we were well prepared to care for our little dog by providing food, toys, instructions, blanket, etc. Far exceeded our expectations. We have purchased several dogs over the years and didn’t ever get such service and care from a breeder.
