I'm Krystal C., the breeder behind Cook Family Farms located in Conway, MO. Our goal is to produce pups of sound mind and body with great dispositions able to transition well from the farm to home life. Dogs from our program can excel in a variety of fields. We keep in mind a variety of factors when breeding, including drive, energy, structure and temperament.
Q. & A. with Krystal
Why did you start breeding?
We had an amazing pair of working border collies years ago. Several local farmers kept asking us to breed them so they could have a pup. We finally did and it's just grown over the years.
What makes your program special?
I'm not going to say we're more special than others since there is many great breeders out there. With us, everyone is hands on. My kids play with our pups as soon as they are old enough, their socialized to noise, other animals, health tested, vetted when they leave. And we truly love our animals just like family.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Border Collie puppies include smooth and rough coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Border Collie puppies include slate merle, lilac merle, blue merle, red merle, black, blue, gold, lilac, red, sable merle, and slate. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
