Meet the breeder

I'm Brianna M., the breeder behind Cooper Ridge Aussies located in Fredericksburg, VA. Our program and dogs are family owned which gives us the ability to maintain our puppies and customer support at the highest level possible! We believe in preserving the breed standards. We put in great effort to ensure that our puppies are healthy and well socialized. To provide a different environment for our puppies, we researched other breeders and read customer reviews to help you find a healthy, quality-bred pup to add to your family!

Q. & A. with Brianna

  • Why did you start breeding?

Growing up, I helped rear a few litters with my parents. I always thought it was the most amazing process to help bring animals into the world and raise them. After years of working at a shelter and then a vet office, I knew what my life goal was. Our passion for Aussies stemmed from our very first stud, Cooper, and life was never the same after that!
  • What makes your program special?

Bringing home a new puppy is a wonderful experience involving the whole family, which is why we begin training early to ease the transition to their new home. We utilize Puppy Culture, other socialization methods, and Early Neurological Stimulation. All our dogs are family dogs and help us to give a hands-on experience with future "pawrents!" We want them to feel like part of the family.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, red merle, blue merle, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Brianna was absolutely amazing throughout the entire process. We got acquainted digitally, and she sent regular updates, posts, and pictures. My pup “Arlo” was cared for like she was a member of Brianna’s family, and we truly felt involved in every step, and well as welcomed into the Cooper Ridge family. We also used Cooper Ridge’s Flight Nanny service, and that was such a relief to know our new baby was loved and cared for on her flights from the East to Southern California. Words cannot express how grateful we are for the care provided to our baby, as well as our family by Brianna and everyone at Cooper Ridge.

It was a great experience working with Brianna and Cooper Ridge Aussies. Communication was excellent and all concerns were addressed prior to pick up. We would definitely recommend Cooper Ridge to anyone looking for an Aussie! Our handsome Bodhi is now 12 weeks old and one of the smartest pups we’ve ever had!

Cooper Ridge Aussies has some of the most beautiful Australian Shepherds that I have seen. I love the way Brianna was very informative and responded to any questions that I had about my puppy and the Australian Shepherd breed in general. She also had the puppies already introduced to the AKC for registering. Really made registering a lot easier. I was very pleased with my overall experience and would recommend Cooper Ridge Aussie to anyone.

We had a great experience with Cooper Ridge Aussies. They kept us updated on our pup and sent us pictures of him leading up to pick up day. We instantly fell in love with our puppy! He has such a sweet personality and is so quick and eager to learn. We love how he can go from playing to cuddling in the blink of an eye. His canine big sister, Jersey, fell in love with him right away. They have a strong bond already.

Cooper Ridge was fantastic to work with to help add another family member. Snow has been adapting very well to her big sister pepper as you can see from the pictures. Snow has had her first two vet visits and she is in perfect health, she is 18lbs at 10 weeks old. She is a very lovable playful puppy with her sister.
