Meet the breeder

I'm Donna M., the breeder behind Cornish Mountain Labradors located in Oxford, GA. Our dogs are bred for health, temperament, and intelligence. We strive to produce the best overall pets and family members. The loyalty and loving disposition of this breed are simply the best! We put a great deal of effort into raising our litters to ensure our puppy families will have the best experience raising their new family members.

Q. & A. with Donna

  • Why did you start breeding?

I wanted to have 1 litter of puppies a little over a year ago. I enjoyed raising those puppies and finding them awesome homes so much that I decided to continue breeding.
  • What makes your program special?

Our dogs are a huge part of our family. They live indoors with us and some would say, they are a little spoiled. I just say they are very loved. We breed and raise our puppies in the same environment. All our puppies are born and raised in our home.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Donna was fabulous from the beginning. She set a solid foundation from the start by insuring the sweet pups were going to a good home and in turn giving me all the important background information that I needed. Throughout the pregnancy and after the puppies were born, we remained in contact and she would send pictures very regularly. We even got to visit our baby before she was ready to go home. Our girl is so sweet and smart. She was already mostly potty trained at 9 weeks old. I know that is directly attributed to Donna and the hard work she puts in prior to the puppies coming home. She pours her heart into every litter and the result is sweet and happy little puppies that you would be lucky to get the chance to take one of them home. Thank you Donna and Cornish Mountain Labradors!

Donna is an amazing breeder! She is knowledgeable and extremely attentive to detail, regarding all things puppy. It is apparent that the health and wellbeing of her dogs and puppies is top priority. If you have a question she’s quick to respond and willing to take the time to explain things in such a caring way. The communication throughout the process is great! All of the cute pictures are too! She matched us with the perfect little boy to add to our family! He is so well adjusted and smart. You can tell her puppies get lots of love and are used to being around kids, family and the big dogs. Boone is such a joy and we get tons of compliments on his looks, as well as his great disposition. If you’re thinking of getting a Labrador, look no further than CML!

We couldn't be happier with our puppy from Donna! Our Reggie is a happy, healthy and well-adjusted puppy! Because of Donna's care, Reggie has made the transition well, is smart as a whip, and is calm with new things. Donna included us every step of the way, complete with pictures, videos and phone calls. He was exposed to many sights and sounds early on. Donna also started to call Reggie by his name before he came to us, making the transition easier for him. She also introduced crate-training, helping with his early development even more. There are many sources out there that outline what a breeder should be doing before a puppy goes to their new home, and what a new owner should expect from a breeder. Donna is spot-on! Donna did everything right: Health and wellness, early socialization, communication early on and follow-ups with us. We can't recommend Donna and Cornish Mountain Labradors enough!

Our experience with Donna and Cornish Mountain Labradors could not have been better! As first-time dog owners, we had lots of questions, and Donna always responded quickly with thoughtful, educational answers. It was clear she genuinely cared about making sure we were the right fit for one of her puppies, not just making a sale. She made the entire process easy and enjoyable. Now that we have our sweet Lab girl, it’s obvious how much love and care Donna puts into her dogs. She came home happy, healthy, and well cared for, and Donna has continued to answer our questions even after bringing her home. We couldn’t recommend Cornish Mountain Labradors more highly!

Donna was lovely to work with through the entire process. She was very responsive and kept me updated from the breeding to pickup. All of my questions were answered adequately and you could really tell she cared about the litter and her dogs. I’m confident in the puppy she helped me pick from the litter and can’t wait to integrate him into the family.
