Q. & A. with Marcia
Why did you start breeding?
After more than a decade of owning, rescuing & rehoming many Australian Shepherds we decided to breed our two AKC registered females and set out on a search for the perfect male companion. We wanted a dog that had been bred by a responsible caring Breeder, that was at a minimum five generations out and that had a clear genetic panel of the most common genetic defects that Aussies are prone to. We found that in Canyon Creek Aussies where we purchased our male Canyon Creek The Rainmaker.
What makes your program special?
We whelp our pups in our home, expose them to biosensor training, socialize them with children, adults and other animals both in the house and in the barn. We expose them to loud noises, unexpected situations, parades, fireworks, car rides, vacuuming and the like, all to make them stronger, smarter and more tolerant dogs that will provide a lifetime of happiness to their new families. We take great care in providing excellent puppies for first time to experienced dog owners.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, red merle, blue merle, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
