I'm Ashley G., the breeder behind Cottonwood Kennel located in Monroe, NC. We are animal lovers with a great passion for our dogs. We fell in love with this breed's personality years ago. Boykin Spaniels are intelligent, kind, eager to please, & so loving. We just adore each of our dogs and do everything we can to ensure that they are each thoroughly cared for and loved.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We absolutely love the traits of our Boykins and everything about the breed. Our dogs are happy and healthy and we wanted to give others the opportunity to experience the awesome traits of the Boykin Spaniel Breed.
  • What makes your program special?

    We take excellent care of our Boykins. Our puppies are raised in our home and are well socialized before going to their forever families.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include dark brown and liver. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Ashley

Ashley has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $200 deposit and between $1,300 - $1,600 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“This price includes all vet care including exam, vaccinations, dewormer, tails docked and dew claws removed. They will go home with a puppy starter kit. The deposit to hold a puppy will go towards the full price of the puppy and will be non refundable unless any issue should arise that would affect the health of the puppy.”

Ashley may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Collie Eye Anomaly (CEA)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
