Why did you start breeding?
This breed is my passion, and I love spending my life with them. My breeding program strives to maintain the unique characteristics of Dachshunds while placing an emphasis on producing puppies of superior health, temperament, and conformation. I love Dachshunds, raising puppies.. even though it is a lot of work, and the happiness they bring to their new families make it worth it.What makes your program special?
I strive to breed healthy, quality pups that can fit any lifestyle. I take pride in raising well-tempered and socialized puppies that make beloved companions. The pups are started on Litter and/or Pee pads from a young age. When coming home they will be eating dry Royal Canin small puppy food.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

+5We had a truly wonderful experience adopting our little guy from JT. Our pup Paulie will be a year old in just a couple of weeks! JT has been very kind and responsive, answering all of our questions. She was also very accommodating for our arrangement to pick up our pup. We traveled from Louisiana to Florida. JT really cares about the well being of her pups and has checked in with us to see how Paulie is doing. He is the best boy with the cutest personality. He's also super smart and loves to train! I had an amazing experience with JT Smith Countridox Dachshunds! From the moment Mia was born, I received weekly updates with photos and got to watch her grow from just four days old. The breeder was always responsive and answered all my questions, including providing weight updates whenever I asked. It was clear Mia was raised with love and care. I’ve only had Mia for three days, and she is already so well-behaved! She has the best temperament—calm, gentle, playful, and incredibly smart. She listens well, follows me everywhere, and has been so well-adjusted from day one. She’s confident, friendly with all my neighbors, and not at all skittish or shy. Potty training has also been a breeze; she goes outside most of the time and uses her pee pad when needed.
