I'm Colleen G., the breeder behind Countryhaven Collies located in Lehigh Valley, PA. I am a small hobby breeder focused on breeding for health, intelligence, temperament, herding instinct, and beauty. I have been involved with Collies my entire life and have not found a breed that can compare with their kind, nurturing, intelligent nature. They are gentle souls with a natural urge to keep their flock (your family) safe. I'm excited to share this wonderful breed with you!
Q. & A. with Colleen
Why did you start breeding?
I've had collies all my life and would love to share my knowledge and love for the breed with others.
I have only produced one litter and had a waiting list of approved homes waiting for all 10 of those puppies. I won't over breed my animals since they are a part of the family.
What makes your program special?
My Collie's parents are AKC Registered Collies from a working farm who actively assist their owners with the livestock. All parents of my puppies are DNA tested for any genetic health problems. I am very dedicated to what I do and what I am trying to achieve as a breeder. I work with passion, heart, and integrity, and I truly want what's best for the Collie line.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have rough coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include blue merle white and tan, sable merle, sable and white, sable, blue merle and white, and blue merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
