Meet the breeder

I'm Shannon A., the breeder behind Creekside Canines located in Millville, NJ. We’ve been breeding labs for 17 years now and our dogs were handpicked from across the country or bred by us, we have females from various lines and work hard to match them to the perfect stud dog to produce the best puppies, let us help you pick a puppy that will work best for your family!

Q. & A. with Shannon

  • Why did you start breeding?

My mother bred labs and springer spaniels while I was growing up. I would set up a cot next to the whelping box and stay up all night with the momma dogs while they had their puppies. Eventually I took over for my mom and even after I’ve grown up and moved out and had my own children I continue to breed and now I get to share the experience with my daughter who is just as in love with the miracle.
  • What makes your program special?

My program is special because it has been a lifelong passion of mine. I’ve poured my heart and soul into each and every dog I have raised. I stay in contact with almost every new puppy owner and look forward to our daily conversation, questions, updates, and photos. Im like an excited grandparent showing my work friends pictures of my puppies with their ribbons or just a funny photo of them.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
