I'm Rosanna H., the breeder behind CrestCottage Corgis located in Sparta, NJ. I am a small boutique breeder in Northern NJ. My pups are raised as part of my family so they will easily assimilate into your family. Both parent have been fully tested for all inheritable diseases and the puppies are certified as free of these diseases.
Q. & A. with Rosanna
What makes your program special?
I breed for personality, disposition, trainability and of course, the AKC PWC standard for type. My pups are raised as part of my family so they will easily assimilate into your family. Pups are included in all family activities so they are used to the sound of a vacuum cleaner, the smells of food cooking in the kitchen, music playing and introduced to potty training...I am the total opposite of a puppy mill! Please reach out with questions about my breeding philosophy or any questions you may have!
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include white and fawn, fawn, red, sable, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC), von Willebrand Disease I (vWD I)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
