Meet the breeder

I'm Keri M., the breeder behind Crooked Creek Shelties located in Wyoming, MN. Our dogs are raised in our home with us. We expose them to all age appropriate stimuli and socialization so that they adapt well to their new homes. All of our dogs have complete health testing. We believe in healthy and happy dogs! Our dogs health and happiness are our priority.

Q. & A. with Keri

  • Why did you start breeding?

I was lucky to have parents that loved animals and I was raised in MN on a farm. My mom raised and showed arabian horses and pomeranian. She got me in the show ring at 8 and I have been on love with it ever since. I branched out with my own breed the Sheltie while we lived in MT. I love this little herding dog and their fun personality. They are devoted to people and always looking to please.
  • What makes your program special?

We are very lucky to live on a farm and I am able to spend just about all of my time with our dogs. Our kids are also very involved with the dogs. I have wonderful mentors that have helped me to grow as a breeder. We are extremely careful about our breeding program to always try to improve the quality of our puppies. We are always here to support the families our dogs are placed with
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

A totally great experience getting my puppy, Dave, from Keri! She was super helpful and I got to meet Dave’s siblings. Keri gave me stuff to take home like chews and a treat bag for training as well a toy and blanket that Dave played with there. Dave is so well socialized and adjusted it has made the puppy process way less stressful!
