Meet the breeder

I'm Sue K., the breeder behind Cross Arrow K Awesome Aussies located in Tuscola, TX. Trooper is an awesome boy, worthy to pass on his genetics, so we sought a forever girlfriend for him. Our criteria were strict and Frio checked every box. Both have sound and sturdy conformation and are keenly intelligent, exuberant and playful. They are the most loving dogs we have ever owned.

Q. & A. with Sue

  • Why did you start breeding?

From 1996 to 2005 we raised and trained hunting Labs. We were meticulous in our genetics and health standards and met many wonderful families that came back for multi-generational puppies. In 2020 we began a search for a pet dog and selected the Australian Shepherd breed because of their bond with their people, becoming family members that live every moment of life with you.
  • What makes your program special?

We purposely sought a blue-eyed tri male due to color genetics factors. We held unyielding standards for conformation, temperament and genetics. Trooper came from a superlative breeder fulfilling our every wish. Two years ago we began a search for a lifelong female companion. Frio is a gorgeous dark merle with stunning copper. They both have striking blue eyes brimming with intelligence and love.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, blue merle, and black tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
