Crowfoot Valley Toy Aussies

Leny Y.

Breeder of Toy Australian Shepherds

Meet the breeder

I'm Leny Y., the breeder behind Crowfoot Valley Toy Aussies located in Elbert County, CO. We offer home-raised, well-socialized Toy Australian Shepherds. We focus on quality, conformation, great colors, and temperament. Our puppies are great with families, are perfect for folks who embrace the great outdoors as we do here in Colorado. We are passionate about what we do and look forward to connecting with you!

Q. & A. with Leny

  • Why did you start breeding?

It all started when we first saw our darling puppy, Willow, that looked like a tiny Bernese Mountain Dog. We’ve always admired the big Australian Shepherds that are known for their work ethic; however, a large shedding working-dog seemed impractical for our suburban home. When we met little Willow, she reminded us of time spent on the ranch in our youth. She was a “real dog” in a more manageable package. It wasn’t long before we collected a couple more. We started researching and set the foundation for our breeding program, and the rest is history.
  • What makes your program special?

We travel afar to carefully select our dogs’ mates and do genetic and physical health screenings to ensure that you’ll have many wonderful years with your Mini Aussie. Our dogs work hard, play hard, love hard, and are part of the family. We prepare all of our pups to excel in life. We only have a litter or two a year. We’d be right happy if you’d stop by to sit a spell and talk about some of the best pups around!
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
