I'm Jordan S., the breeder behind Crown Stephens Family Doodles located in Independence, MO. We are an in-home, family-based Bernedoodle program focused on health, temperament, and structure. Our puppies are raised around children with hands-on care and early socialization to develop calm, confident, and family-ready companions that turn heads and steal hearts.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I grew up around dogs, from beagles to German Shepherds.. and have always had a deep love for them. As an adult, that continued with different breeds. When I got my poodle, Onyx, I knew I wanted to create and share that same quality in a family companion. Pairing him with Willow confirmed it… our first litter was a blessing, and we’re honored to provide families with lifelong companions.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our program blends intentional breeding with a true family environment. Raised in-home alongside our children, each puppy receives hands-on care, early socialization, and thoughtful development. We focus on health, temperament, and structure to produce elevated, well-balanced companions for families who value quality.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies include mini, medium, and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include grey and white, black, black and white, tri-color, phantom, blue merle, and merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from Jordan

Jordan has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Jordan partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

“We match puppies based on temperament, lifestyle, and family needs. Around 6 weeks, we begin evaluating personalities and guide families through selection to ensure each puppy is placed in the best possible home.”

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,300 - $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Puppies range from $1,800-$2,500. Reservations made through Good Dog include a $200 processing fee for platform services, secure payments, and financing options. A non-refundable deposit reserves your spot and is applied to the total price. Selection is based on pick order once puppies are ready and evaluated.”

Jordan may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Vet Wellness Exam

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
