I'm Andrea M., the breeder behind Crystal Garden Yorkies located in Pittsburg, CA. At Crystal Garden Yorkies, we believe every Yorkie is a jewel, a sparkling little treasure waiting to be discovered. Nestled in California, our small family program has been devoted to the Yorkshire Terrier for over 15 years. A passion for raising healthy, beautiful, and affectionate puppies.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    What began with one tiny Yorkie quickly blossomed into a lifelong passion. Over the years, I studied pedigrees, learned the breed standard, and poured my heart into raising Yorkies who are not only beautiful, but also healthy and full of love. My goal has always been simple: to share the joy of this wonderful breed with families who will treasure them as much as I do.

  • What makes your program special?

    Crystal Garden Yorkies is a small, in-home program where our Yorkies are family first. They live alongside us, not in kennels, and are spoiled with love, care, and attention every day. With just a few litters each year, I focus on quality over quantity. Each puppy is a sparkling little gem, nurtured in the heart of our home, and ready to bring joy to their forever family.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include blue and gold and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Andrea

Andrea has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Andrea partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

“We take great care in thoughtfully placing each puppy with the right family. Selections are offered in the order that reservation fees are received, beginning at 6 weeks of age, once personalities begin to emerge. Our priority families are contacted first, and any remaining availability is then opened to our general list.”

Puppy prices include a $1,000 non-refundable deposit and between $3,500 - $5,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“All of our puppies come with written health guarantee, up to date vaccination, vaccine and worming records and Health Report from the veterinarian. Deposit it Non-refundable unless an unexpected event happens with the puppy.”

  • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

As someone new to working with breeders, I had a lot of questions, and Andrea patiently answered every single one—from puppy care and feeding schedules to vaccinations and supplies. She was incredibly communicative and responsive throughout the entire process, even sharing video clips of the puppies so I could get a sense of their personalities before committing. When it came time for the final payment, there was an unexpected hiccup with bank fraud verification that sent me into a bit of a panic, but Andrea was completely understanding and patient while it got sorted out. That grace under pressure meant a lot during what was already an emotional time for me. She followed up after I brought Mochi home to check how she was settling in, offered helpful tips on crate training and treats, and has continued to be a supportive resource.     Andrea was great to work with and our puppy is perfect and adorable! She sent regular pictures and updates about how she was doing up until we met half way so I can pick her up.
