Why did you start breeding?
We got into breeding after wanting to do things the right way and be more involved in the process from start to finish. After doing a lot of research and learning from experienced breeders, we decided to start our own program with a focus on health, structure, and temperament.What makes your program special?
What makes our program special is that our dogs are truly part of our home. As a small program, we’re able to provide hands-on care, focus on temperament and intentionally raise well-rounded, family-ready puppies.What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Getting a puppy from DeShaun & Abby
DeShaun & Abby has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
DeShaun & Abby partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.
“Buyers are screened and approved before placing a deposit. Around 6-8 weeks once personalities begin to show, we match each puppy with the right family based on temperament and lifestyle. ”
Price
“Pricing varies on color, coat, and overall quality. Puppies include age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, a vet exam, and are raised in-home with a focus on health, temperament, and socialization. Deposits are accepted as early as 5 weeks. A $350 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a puppy and is applied toward the total price.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. About Nala
Nala is our foundation female at D&A Dachshunds. She has a loving, gentle personality and is very people-oriented. She is raised in our home and is well socialized. She is the sweetest girl, loves people, supper affectionate and always wants to be close by. She has a playful personality but is also a big cuddle bug. She has completed full Embark DNA testing.

Vet Wellness Exam

DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
