Meet the breeder

I'm Sherri G., the breeder behind DachGraston Dachshunds located in Visalia, CA. Our puppies are cute bundles of joy. They are very loving, smart and eager to play and go on adventures with you then fall soundly asleep on your lap. I do not raise our babies in cages nor outside. Their ancestral heritage is exquisite. Their parents are beautiful, very well adjusted members of our family.

Q. & A. with Sherri

  • Why did you start breeding?

I was raised in a dachshund home thanks to the huge heart for the breed my mother loved. My Doxies have been a lifeline after I found myself an empty nester. I love birthing babies and growing out puppies. I had gotten in to showing dachshunds early on with my exceptional pups and continue those fabulous lines today. Our wonderful dachshunds have been part of my family for decades now.
  • What makes your program special?

Special? My puppies are raised like kids! They are much loved, sleep in our home in warm beds, eat healthy well balanced diets, gets lots of exercise, playtime and sunshine outdoors playing alongside me, they are taught manners, receive an education, are raised to get along well with others, are lovingly disciplined with a loving but firm tone when required, have regular bathing and grooming schedules, and have family time in abundance!
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include cream, red, fawn (isabella) and cream, wild boar and cream, chocolate and tan, black and cream, blue and cream, chocolate and cream, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

We just wanted to send a huge thank you! We welcomed our Dachshund puppy from you back in November 2024, and he has brought so much joy into our lives. We are absolutely in love with him! We were so impressed with how well-trained he was right from the start, both with his behavior and being completely potty-trained. It made the transition so smooth for us. We also really appreciated how responsive and helpful you were whenever we had a question or needed anything. It made us feel so supported. We truly couldn't have asked for a better puppy, and it's clear how much care and attention you put into raising your Dachshunds. We would wholeheartedly recommend you to any of our friends who are looking to add a wonderful Dachshund to their family in the future. Thank you again for everything!

Sherri was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the whole process of getting our Miso girl (formerly Poppi). She FaceTimed with us and called us to help answer any questions, and continued to send photos of Miso while we waited for our pickup date. We also had to pick up Miso a month later than her “ready by” date due to previously planned travel, and Sherri agreed to watch her for a small extra fee. We were given all her medical paperwork, a toy and blanket, and information on raising a puppy when we picked her up. You can tell that Miso came from a very very loving home. She’s the sweetest, and we’re so excited to have her in our lives! Thank you again to Sherri and her son for all they did for our girl!
