I'm Dachshund D., the breeder behind Dachshund Dad located in Clermont, FL. Dachshund Dad is my legal fictitious name. Our puppies are excellent representations of their breed, we are proud to offer our high-quality puppies to loving homes! We are home based breeders. Dachshund Dad dedication is to bring healthy, loving, and pure bred puppies into the homes and hearts of their forever families. We love our dogs and are passionate about raising our puppies! Raising the best family companions is a complex process of maintaining regular health examinations, lots of love, and attention! We also do our best to ensure they’re potty trained before pick up :).

  • Why did you start breeding?

    My wife and I had an accidental litter! After that we fell in love with helping to create beautiful memories!

  • What makes your program special?

    We spend so much time with our pups and give our dogs all the love! My wife is a stay at home mom to our 2 year old and I work nights so our puppies and dogs get around the clock attention/training they need to ensure the best experience/transition to their forever homes. They also get time and training with young children and other dogs. While we do give our dogs plenty of attention we also incorporate some crate training as well since we do have young children in the house and multiple puppies/dogs.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include longhaired and smooth coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include piebald, red, black, chocolate, gray (blue) and tan, chocolate and tan, blue and tan, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Dachshund

Puppy prices include a $500 deposit and between $1,500 - $4,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

    Words cannot describe how happy I was to work with Brian and his beautiful family in the process of getting Ebony/Rayven. Brian stayed in consistent contact with me, sending photos and videos of her growth. Right up until the day I picked her up. The pick up process went wonderful and very smooth. I’ve had her almost two months and I still stay in contact with Brian through videos and pictures. I would highly recommend Brian and his dachshunds to anyone out there looking for a well raised, well rounded and very well cared for puppy. Having had Dachshunds throughout my life from childhood, they are known for being hard to potty train, stubborn, loud, etc. But, Brian worked with her and works with all his puppies from the very beginning and right up until the day they go to their new home. I am happy to say that she is the most well-behaved puppy in every way. She was already almost completely potty trained (at 8 weeks), and very well rounded. Her personality is awesome. Note: It is never a guarantee that the puppies will come “potty trained”, but Brian did such a wonderful job with Rayven/Ebony on everything! Thank you again to you Brian and your beautiful wife for all of the hard work you do. Your care and commitment to your babies are amazing!
