Meet the breeder

I'm Brandy H., the breeder behind Dachshund D’Amore located in Call, TX. We decided to start breeding to share the best possible puppies with excellent personalities, temperament, and most of all health! We are dedicated to always providing our buyers and our puppies with a positive experience, which includes remaining committed to responsible practices when it comes to breeding, training, and rehoming our puppies. My moms and pups are on a high quality food. Not your Proplan or whatever else cheap kibble there is. So they are getting the very best food.. I do occasionally throw in some kibble for treats to get their belly adjusted in case their new home wants to transition. Breeders must have their adult dogs 100% access to ac or heat.. if you have your pups out in runs or fenced in areas without access please do not apply. Do better for your pups!! All new puppy parents must pick up their pups at ready date. If flying I live 4 hour round trip from the airport so it’s not convenient at all to continuously switch days and time.

Q. & A. with Brandy

  • What makes your program special?

I focus on temperaments ,health, and quality. Pups comes Akc reunite microchip… prepaid Akc registration. I am trying to better my lines. I do not throw pups together and call it good. Moms wait until at least 3rd heat before reproducing. I do not start breeding when they are 1. I can’t even imagine doing this. My pups will have 2-4 litters depending on mom and then retire early.. I don’t believe reproducing while mom is a year old. At a year old my pups are still my babies and I have never found a year old being appropriate age to start reproducing. My pet prices will be 3000 for pet only for solids 3300 for dapples pet.. Full rights are 4800-6500 I no longer offer full rights If I was feeding a kibble and not raw I would be able to discount my pets but please understand it costs me a lot of money to give them the very best. Discounting takes from their mouths. I wish I could give them crap good so your price will be lower but I can’t. My pet prices with the food I feed literally pays me back for their food and vet bills. I haven’t been breaking even. There is a processing fee with good dog for buyers but you can opt out of the additional fees. Ask me how .. I no longer will have just American pairings. I am trying to better my lines … Russian\American or full Russian lines I am firm on price. I will eventually go into uk lines as well. They are better tested than most American breeders.. I am continuously pouring into my program to make it better for my pups living. They have 24:7 cartoons. Internet.. a/c in the summer.. heat in the winter.. they live better than a lot of ppl and that’s something I’m so proud of. We have 24:7 surveillance. 6 ft tall fences to keep the bad out. Puppy play areas.. shade.. they are never forced to stay outside. Their play area is connected to their night runs that are closed at night where they have access to their toys and cabin area. I made sure they had everything they needed before I even reproduced a single pup.

Brandy is a literal angel!! I talked to many breeders before I made my choice. Brandy was by far the most personable, responsive and informative. Our sweet pup, Nicco, has been such a joy. You can tell Brandy really loves all her babies. She has been such a pleasure to work with. She even gave us a care bag for Nicco which included everything we needed and more ! I thought that was so thoughtful. I can’t thank Brandy enough for making this experience so smooth and enjoyable. I highly recommend her, you won’t regret it !

Working with and getting to know Brandy was such a pleasure! She was responsive, informative, and so kind! Meeting Brandy for pick up of our little Reesey went so smoothly and it was extremely apparent that she genuinely cares about her pups and what she does! I appreciate her not just making a sale, but ensuring her tiny pups go to safe and loving homes!

I consider myself incredibly fortunate—not only did I find an honest Dachshund breeder, but also a genuine lover of the breed. My search was focused on finding an "older" female Dachshund to join our two young males. The reason for seeking an older female was twofold: typically, she would already be housebroken, saving us some work, and she would be less likely to "mark over" areas claimed by our other two males. The way we found each other remains a bit of a mystery, but ultimately, it led me to Brandy, who was looking to re-home a young adult female Dachshund named Cami. In Brandy’s profile of Cami, there was a video showing her playing catch with the dog. Something about that video clearly displayed the deep affection between Brandy and Cami—it was evident in Brandy’s voice and the way the puppy interacted with her. That moment convinced me: Cami was the puppy I wanted. I reached out to Brandy, and we spoke for nearly an hour. She explained her reasons for wanting to re-home Cami, and I shared why Cami was the perfect fit for our family. During that initial conversation, I told her stories from my time as a retired submarine officer, described our property, the fence I installed to keep our dogs safe, how our puppies once chased a bear out of the yard, and how our dogs sleep with us and enjoy a home-cooked breakfast every morning. My goal was to assure Brandy that her little girl would be coming to a loving and caring home. To arrange for Cami’s transport to Maryland, Brandy recommended contacting https://www.fuzzyfurbabiesflightnanny.com, which turned out to be an excellent decision. The scheduled trip from Houston to Washington Dulles was to be handled by professionals who are responsive, caring, and affordable. Our journey began with a 6:00 AM trip by Brandy to the Houston Airport, where she handed Cami over to Dijonna, our flight nanny. The original delivery was scheduled for November 29th, but due to fully booked flights into all three DC-area airports, Dijonna waited at gates for every possible flight until the last one to our area, departed for the night. It was a long and tiring day for both puppy and Nannie!! Dijonna and Brandy had to try another day. Ultimately, Cami was brought back to Brandy, and a new delivery date was arranged. The following Monday, Brandy and Dijonna met again in Houston. This time, everything went smoothly, Dijonna was able to get a flight, albeit into BWI. All went well and I welcomed Cami that evening at BWI for our trip home. The entire process—from finding Cami, arranging payment, and coordinating with all involved—was made seamless by Good Dog. Based on this experience, I will absolutely use their services again if I ever decide to welcome another puppy into our home.

I can't give Brandy enough praise. It was so evident she took such good care of my Dolly from birth. First night she was so amazing. She was not worried or scared. To me that speaks volumes. She was truly loved and I know Brandy had so much loving contact with her. DOLLY was so healthy, happy and well adjusted. She already knew sit and stay. I really can't express how wonderful the whole purchasing process was. When I picked her up, Brandy had all of the essentials for Dolly. She really cared about and loved this little girl. Brandy was a joy to get to meet and know. Every puppy she sells, she is torn when she has to let them go. Anyone who loves like that is the best breeder you want to deal with. Dolly easily assimilated with my other dogs. I can't say enough good things about this woman and my experience. You need to consider these things when choosing your next family member. Regarding potty training...another A plus. Dolly rocks. Brandy had her pad trained. I am so blessed and love her for taking such good care of Dolly from birth. I waited a while to leave my review because I want anyone reading this to know, Dolly is fully potty trained and sleeping until 8am for the last four weeks. Not going to lie woke at 5am for first 4 weeks to take her potty. It's just been smooth sailing and I could not be happier. Feel free to call me with any questions. I fell like I have mastered the puppy process. My name is Monica 281.501.8665...Brandy God bless you! Miracle maker!

From our very first moment reaching out, Brandy has been super quick to respond and extremely helpful with all of our questions. She not only raises very nice and well behaved pups, but also was very easy to work with. All throughout the process she stayed in touch and told us everything we needed to know along with tips for raising our first dog. I would highly recommend Brandy to anyone looking for a dachshund!
