Meet the breeder

I'm Paula S., the breeder behind Dachshunds R Us located in Strong, AR. All of our dogs are loved as family members. We cherish our puppies from birth and after they leave our arms to snuggle into yours! We raise our dogs in our home right alongside our family. My babies are lap babies. We love being able to match our puppies with families that are the perfect fit.

Q. & A. with Paula

  • Why did you start breeding?

Honestly we lost our baby at just over a year old. For 6 six months I couldn't even talk about him without slobbering all over myself. When I finally decided it was time to move on, my search led me on 15 hour round trips 6 times. I want to share the happiness my puppies bring to my life.
  • What makes your program special?

My program is small. It is not a business. I have a limit on the amount of litters my pups will have and they will retire to a life of nothing but love in our home. After they retire, there will be no more babies. We have lap babies not yard dogs.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include piebald, red, chocolate, gray (blue) and cream, gray (blue) and tan, chocolate and cream, blue and tan, chocolate and tan, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Paula was AMAZING! Working with Paula and getting my pup was such a smooth interaction. She is clearly very passionate about what she does and puts in all of her effort to make sure you and your pup have a great experience. Paula responds very quickly and will answer any questions you may have. I flew my puppy to California, Paula and her daughter made sure he arrived safe and sound! They were both so kind! I would recommend Dachshunds R Us to anyone. 10/10 experience!😊

Paula was so great to work with! You can tell she genuinely loves what she does and wants nothing but the best for her puppies. Anytime I needed an update she sent one right over. She was so flexible with drop off as well and the transition was smooth. Our sweet puppy, that we named Darla, is such a happy girl and was obviously very cared for. I would highly recommend working with Paula!

I got my puppy from Paula, and the entire experience was amazing! She was so kind, responsive, and helpful throughout the whole process. She kept me updated every step of the way and worked with me to get my sweet girl home after a 16-hour drive. I could tell she truly cares about her puppies and the families they go to. We are so in love with our new baby and couldn’t be more grateful. I would 100% recommend Paula to anyone looking for a new best friend!

I wholeheartedly recommend Dachshunds R Us. Paula was lovely to work with. She went above and beyond getting our new puppy to us. Jet (now Ralphie) is the sweetest little guy. We couldn't be happier!

Couldn’t be more satisfied with our new pup. Well tempered and doing great with paper training thanks to the start the breeder gave her. Took her to our vet for her next rounds of shots and he said she is in perfect health.
