Meet the breeder

I'm Jill S., the breeder behind Daffodil Hill Australian Labradoodles located in Carlisle, IN. I am a member of the Australian Labradoodle Association of America (ALAA). Being members of the ALAA means we adhere to the most rigorous testing and health concerns of our dogs. We are proud to be a part of such a great group of people dedicated to raising the best Australian Labradoodles!

Q. & A. with Jill

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have lived on a farm my whole life and grew up running around a barn lot chasing piglets. I am a 10-year 4-H member, where I participated in dog, cat, rabbit and horse projects. I went on to show in AKC obedience and taught obedience lessons in college. Ultimately, our love for Australian Labradoodles led us to breed them for show. Also, we love to make new friends through our puppies.
  • What makes your program special?

We try to work with you to give you exactly what you are looking for. We match on temperament first and looks second. We do like to give our families a choice as to which puppy the end up with in their family but have a trainer we work closely with who helps us evaluate our puppies. I would also say our customer service is something we are very proud of! They’re not customers but family.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include miniature, medium, and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include caramel ice, caramel, caramel red, red, apricot, cream, chocolate, and parchment. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.
