I'm Terri L., the breeder behind Daisy's Doxies located in Celina, TX. We’re so excited to be able to help families experience the longtime loyalty of welcoming a new puppy into their lives! Our dogs stole our hearts right from the start and we found ourselves wanting to get more involved. Breeding was a natural next step and we haven’t looked back since!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Our passion for animals and our joy with working with them increased our desire to start breeding. We developed this passion after we purchased our first dachshund eight years ago.
  • What makes your program special?

    Our goals with dog breeding includes producing a better dog and quality pet.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies have smooth coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include red, black, black and tan, blue and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Terri

Terri has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,350 - $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes guarantee registration of the litter with the Continental Kennel Club and healthy vet records. Upon purchase, you will receive a comprehensive Bill of Sale for your puppy. This document includes essential details about your new furry friend and outlines our health guarantee and return policy.”

Contract & health guarantee

Terri may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Daisy's Doxies reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Dachshunds.

  • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Obesity risk (POMC), VetGen DNA Testing

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
