Meet the breeder

I'm Martina B., the breeder behind Dalmar Floridachs located in Ocala, FL. I'm a small, in-home show breeder with health-tested, quality Dachshund dogs! I focus on temperament, structure, and health for all dogs and puppies. If you need permission from spouse or landlord please do so before contacting me. All puppies are sold with limited Akc registration as PETS!

Q. & A. with Martina

  • Why did you start breeding?

I started my breeding program because I wanted to produce a healthier Dachshund than was available at that time. I believe that purposeful and ethical breeding is so important for the healthy preservation of the breed, and I am dedicated to improving my lines with each generation so that the breed will continue to thrive for a long time to come.
  • What makes your program special?

I am a professional, ethical breeder of high-quality Dachshunds that are conformationally correct dogs with stable temperaments. My involvement in the show ring speaks to the standards that I breed my dogs by, and I strive for quality and excellence with everything that I do. I am confident that each one of my pups will become a treasured family member, and many will have great show potential, too!
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include miniature and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies have smooth coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include red, chocolate and tan, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
