Meet the breeder

I'm Malinda D., the breeder behind Darby Park Doodles located in Roseville, CA. Our pups are only raised indoors to provide happy healthy pets for those seeking the best family companion! I've been breeding Australian Labradoodles & Cockapoos for over 20 years. Family Companions, Therapy dogs, and Service dogs with Non-shedding/Allergy Friendly coats Find us on social media.

Q. & A. with Malinda

  • Why did you start breeding?

My family and I have an extensive background operating an animal rescue shelter, and rehoming pets. After having a special needs son, I decided to specialize in breeding Therapy Dogs for families with Allergies. I started my venture into breeding with what is surely the most well known original poodle crossbreed(Doodle), the Cockapoo! Shortly thereafter, I started breeding Australian Labradoodles.
  • What makes your program special?

I do temperament evaluations to ensure our families are getting matched with the best pup for their family. I have wonderful referrals from my previous clients, veterinarians, and trainers! I provide a 3 Year Health Guarantee, which is longer than the standard 1-2 yr guarantee other breeders provide. I'm in it for the long hall, and plan to keep breeding quality Doodles for another 20 years!
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Cockapoo puppies include mini and standard sizes. Australian Labradoodle puppies include miniature and medium sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Cockapoo puppies include merle, red and white, black, buff, brown and white, brown, black and white, black and tan, golden, and red. Australian Labradoodle puppies include caramel, caramel red, red, apricot, cream, chocolate, cafe, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

Malinda communicated great and she matched the perfect puppy for us. We already love this feisty yet calm Little girl. Her name is Pookah and she is the cutest Cockapoo.

Malinda was great. No matter what I asked or what time of day or nite, she always answered. My beautiful pup is the star of the show wherever we go. She was potty trained in two days!!!!!!! Best choice.

Hello! I've had a great experience with Malinda in getting our new baby. The process has been easy to follow, and the transition was painless. We traveled a great distance to get Oliver (a.k.a. Rocky), and there were details that Malinda thought of that we did not. When we arrived to pick him up, she had a care package ready to go with Oliver ... of things that he would need for his travel. This was very thoughtful and much appreciated. Oliver is adjusting well and is being absolutely loved and adored by all that he encounters. He's had his first check up and has gotten an A++. He's positively perfect! I'll attached a few pictures ... as he is a huge help to me in my garden. :-) 1000 Thank you's! Kimberly H
