I'm Ashley R., the breeder behind Darling Dachshunds located in Goodman, MO. Hi Folks! Our Dachshund journey started over 20 years ago with a great little story. My husband and I drove team Fedex across country in a big rig and frequently pulled in rest areas when needed for convenience which happens to be a popular place for bad pet owners to dump their animals :( I was exiting a rest area onto a very busy I-70 in Pennsylvania when I saw him, my Lucky dog. He was running up the off ramp to the interstate straight at my truck like his life depended on it. I was able to pull the truck over to the shoulder of the off ramp safely and he came right to me when I stooped down to coax him. He was skin and bones, shaking and terrified, and losing his hair. I fell in love with him and named him "Lucky" bc we were so fortunate to find him that day and give him the loving home he deserved. Lucky dog got old and passed and I finally replaced him with Norman, my current breeding male. I definitely consider myself a hobby breeder, but I take finding good homes for our babies very seriously because of my experiences with Lucky. We have 3 breeding females. 1 Dapple and 2 Red Sables. Molly, Bonnie, and Betty. I have a 10-year-old who has aspirations to one day be a veterinarian and is a huge help with the puppies. All puppies are held by my children and grandchildren daily and allowed to interact with each other and our other dogs as they get old enough to do so. I ween with Baby Blue for small breeds and will send 1 bag home for transitioning with each puppy.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Ashley partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“Price includes Puppy with AKC registration or APRI registration depending on the puppy's mother, Vaccinatons with UTD Health Record, De-worming, and a bag of current feed for transitioning. Puppies are posted on other site as well. All deposits are non-refundable to ensure that buyer follows through with purchase after speaking for a specific puppy. NO Exceptions!”

Our Molly girl is the best momma to her babies. She is a sweetheart to the core who loves to be told shes "beautiful." And she is quite beautiful in my humble opinion:) Molly's best friend is our giant Goldendoodle "Clifford," along with being his best friend, she also thinks she is his mommy too. Its quite funny to watch her "wash" Cliffords face when they play. Haha.
