I'm Ginger S., the breeder behind Dashing Doxies located in Great Bend, PA. I am so excited to bring adorable, affectionate puppies to the homes of others. Breeding these beautiful dogs has become a love of mine. I take the responsibility very seriously. My dogs are my family members. They have brought so much joy to my life! I’ve always had a love for animals and especially dogs. My goal is to breed healthy, friendly, companions that will warm your heart. Dachshunds love to snuggle and enjoy companionship with their owners. I would love to help you find your perfect puppy and future member of your family.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I got my first Dachshund 20 years ago. I love their personalities. They are spirited, entertaining, and lovable all at the same time. I’ve been raising doxies for many years with my mother-in-law. You can call it a family affair. I’m branching out and focusing on health, temperament, and beauty.

  • What makes your program special?

    My goal is to preserve the Dachshund breed. I do a full embark dna test on my dogs. I’ve also tested for brucellosis. I want to raise dogs that are loved for many years while minimizing major health problems.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include cream, red, chocolate, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

    It has been almost 5 months since we brought home our baby Walter and I am so happy to write this review about our experience. For starters, once we started talking to Ginger with Dashing Dixie’s we knew that we found our breeder! She was very responsive, kind, cared that we were informed of the dachshund breed and relayed all important information to us. She gave us more information than we asked for, which was great as this was our first dachshund. We could tell she wanted us to know everything about the breed, her history as a breeder, health about current pups and pups from different litters. We overall felt very taken care of throughout this process. Walter has been a blessing to our family. He is full of personality. He has a great bill of health, our vets love him, they think he has one of the coolest personalities they have met as a dachshund. He gets along great with our extended families dogs. He loves running outside, swimming in the pool with a life vest, chasing crabs on the beach and snuggling on the couch. We are so grateful to Ginger and Dashing Doxies for bringing us Walter. He still loves his ‘baby blanket’ and sleeps with it every night! Thank you Ginger 😊🐶💛

    I’m genuinely grateful to Ginger for giving my family such a loving, sweet, and spirited little dachshund. Brie was born last December and we've watch her grow up these past 10 months.
