I'm Jonelle D., the breeder behind Davishire Australian Shepherds located in Morganton, NC. Our Aussies are also our pets, we have highlight videos on our IG. We have three children so temperament is very important to us as these are also our pets! All puppies have early neurological stimulation, sound desensitization, surface training, and lots of hands on socialization.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Jonelle first met the breed while taking horse back riding lessons In the 90s. Her trainer raised aussies and she fell In love with their intelligence and loyalty. In 2012 Rusty and Jonelle began to rise and train their own aussies.
  • What makes your program special?

    We care about our puppies, and we care about our clients. Therefore, all of our puppies come with a one-year genetic health guarantee, as well as ongoing support for our customers. We also provide our customers with educational and informational material on the Australian Shepherd breed.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black, blue merle, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Jonelle

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $3,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA), Generalized, Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis 6 (NCL 6), Multifocal Retinopathy 1 (CMR1), Hereditary Footpad Hyperkeratosis, Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), X-Linked Progressive Retinal Atrophy (XL-PRA), Collie Eye Anomaly (CEA), Hereditary (Juvenile) Cataracts (HC; JC)
