Meet the breeder

I'm Chelsie D., the breeder behind Davis’s Dachshunds located in Butler, OH. Our dogs are bred to have top qualities that all families want in their puppies, such as compassion, patience, and love! Dachshunds are our passion, and we can't imagine spending our lives without them. We are dedicated towards achieving excellence and healthy family pets, and we are always working to further our education so that we can continue to improve our breeding program.

Q. & A. with Chelsie

  • Why did you start breeding?

I got into breeding in 2017, when we took our first doxie home, Penelope! Once Penelope turned 2 we decided to inquire about breeding! Its been a rollercoaster since day 1 - but the risk was 100% a reward.
  • What makes your program special?

Our breeding program puts the health of our dogs first! We do try to keep up to date with new ways to stimulate our puppies neurologically, as well as exposing them to new elements! It is our job to continue working on the good of the breed.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include cream, red, black, chocolate, brindle, chocolate and cream, black and cream, chocolate and tan, fawn (isabella) and tan, blue and tan, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
