I'm Dawn S., the breeder behind Dawn's designerDachshunds located in Great Falls, MT. We love to responsibly raise and train our puppies so they have the tools to be well-rounded, beloved family members. We are dog lovers through and through! Our pups are such an important part of our lives, and we can’t imagine being without them. It’s an amazing experience as breeders to provide others with puppies that we know will bring them the same joy! Also, for the people who fly in to get their puppies the Crystal Inn in Great Falls will give you a corporate rate if you say you’re getting a puppy from Dawn’s Designer Doxies. Plus they have free shuttle service to and from the airport. It is one of the nicest and cleanest motels in Great Falls and they have a pool and spa and have free continental breakfast.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I love dachshunds and I’ve had them my whole life but in 2002 I had a really good female that was registered and I read her several times so I never really got bigger and more involved in the breeding until 2024

  • What makes your program special?

    I love to get into some of the unique colors and patterns. Hence the name Dawn’s designer doxies. My male Leo throws a lot of beautiful color into the puppies.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include longhaired and smooth coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black, blue and cream, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Dawn

Dawn has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Dawn partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $1,200 - $1,700 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Contract & health guarantee

Dawn may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     He has adapted very well to the family! Potty pad trained and sleeps alone in crate. We drove from Seattle to Montana and he was a sweet boy on the ride home. During the day he gets to play with my parents corgi and at night comes home to my cattle mix. Big personality for such a little guy. Dawn answered all of my questions and provided updates on the pups.

    I loved working with Dawn! She was easy to communicate with and she sent pictures and updates at Christmas and as it got closer to the time for us to pick up our new baby!     I had such a wonderful experience with Dawn! I have never owned a small dog before and had several questions to ask.
