Philip was awesome and flexible. I wasn’t looking for a dog but I was just browsing for fun and I came across Dawson Creek Doxies. I saw one of his pups and instantly fell in love! I messaged Philip to show my interest and Philip was fast at responding and flexible to work with my schedule so we can meet the pup! Literally the next day I drove from SF to Fairfield to be greeted by such a humble breeder. My partner and I went inside his home and was welcomed with open arms. We saw our pup, we saw the living condition for the dam and sire. His place was so neat and tidy. You can tell he cares about his pets and he asked us a couple of questions which was a green flag. He wanted to get to know us and to potentially see where his pup was going to what kind of home. My partner and I were not planning on bringing a pup home but then we pulled the trigger and brought our pup home the same day! Philip is awesome, we still keep in contact and we talk through IG and text. He really cares about his pups! He was pleasant to work with. I wouldn’t have wanted a dog from anyone else!

Philip was the best breeder I've ever worked with throughout the whole process. He was quick to respond to messages, wanted to know if my wife and I were experienced with Dachshunds, if we were planning to crate train, I appreciate that he vetted us before trusting us to have one of his pups. Philip traveled two hours round-trip to let us meet Noli so that we could make our decision. When we met Noli's parents it was clear that all of his dogs are loved and full-fledged members of the family. They were extremely affectionate and people oriented. Noli came home with a great little housewarming basket with his essentials and some things just to make the transition smoother. All-in-all, our little nugget is adjusting well. He was immediately attached to me like velcro, and he's a smart and sweet little pup. 12 out of 10, great dogs can be found at Dawson Creek Doxies.

I love that Philip wanted to meet us before we made a decision about the puppies — it really showed how much he cares about where his pups go. He was so informative and generous with his time, and he never once seemed impatient with all my questions. It was just a really sweet, genuine experience from start to finish.
Both mom and dad are on site, and you can really feel the calm, loving energy in this home. The breeder’s peaceful demeanor clearly rubs off on the puppies — they’re so relaxed and trusting. You can tell they’ve been raised with so much care and attention.
Phil even sent us off with the sweetest gift basket, filled with so many cute little goodies — things he didn’t have to do, but that really show his and his wife’s kindness and generosity. It was such a thoughtful touch to end an already wonderful experience.

Philip is a patient, kind, and knowledgeable breeder. My daughter and I are incredibly grateful to have Miffy in our lives. She has been wishing for a puppy since she was three (now she is 21), and it was truly heartwarming to see her dream come true. Her big smile says it all—and it would not have been possible without Philip.
We deeply appreciate the thoughtfulness and effort Philip put into preparing for Miffy’s arrival, from the balloons to the basket of goodies. Driving six hours from his home to Los Angeles was an act of generosity we will never forget.
Philip also took the time to sit down with us and carefully explain how to care for Miffy, which gave us confidence and comfort as new puppy parents.
We could not have asked for a better experience and highly recommend Philip to anyone looking for a loving and responsible breeder.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
