I'm Kathleen B., the breeder behind Dax Place located in Clarkston, MI. We are a Michigan-based Miniature Dachshund breeder devoted to raising happy, healthy, well-socialized puppies for loving homes. Our dogs are raised as part of our family, with daily handling, early socialization, and attentive care from birth. We focus on the wonderful qualities that make Miniature Dachshunds so special: their loyal nature, playful personalities, intelligence, and big hearts. Our goal is to thoughtfully match each puppy with a home that is prepared to provide lifelong companionship, patience, and care. Our breeding dogs receive appropriate veterinary care and health screening, and we are committed to responsible breeding practices. Puppies go home with age-appropriate veterinary care, health records, and guidance to help families make a confident, supported start. Located in Michigan, we welcome inquiries from families who are ready to add a Miniature Dachshund to their lives. Why did you start breeding?
My journey into breeding began with my love for Miniature Dachshunds. After welcoming a wonderful female into my life, I saw in her the temperament, beauty, and qualities I admired most in the breed. I felt she would make an exceptional foundation dam, inspiring me to responsibly preserve and share the traits that make Miniature Dachshunds so special.What makes your program special?
Our breeding program is centered on raising healthy, well-cared-for purebred Miniature Dachshunds. Every puppy is APRI registered, comes with a documented pedigree, receives a veterinary health check, and is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations before joining their new family.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include cream, red, chocolate, wheaten, fawn (isabella) and tan, chocolate and tan, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
