I'm Ann D., the breeder behind Day Dream Akita & Shiba Inu located in Newberry, MI. We have been breeding high quality AKC standard Akitas for over 25 years, producing over 70 AKC champions to date. We started our Shiba Inu adventures a little over 5 years now, & we R well on our way to making generations of gorgeous champion shiba inus as well. Quality Dedication Pride Integrity.

Getting a puppy from Ann

Ann has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Ann partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Puppy prices include a $1,000 non-refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $4,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

    Ann was wonderful to work with! She was responsive and knowledgable. We were looking to add a second pup to our family as a companion for our other Shiba who suffers from anxiety, but loves interacting other dogs. We needed a pretty specific set of traits: a calm, confident pup who wouldn’t increase or mirror her anxiety. We reached out to Ann about one of her available puppies, Camille, and she was open and forthcoming about Camille’s personality and if it would be a good fit for our needs. It was also very clear that she wanted to ensure that WE were a good fit for CAMILLE, which I appreciated. Ann shared tons of photos, videos, and anecdotes so that we were super confident proceeding with our selection. We’ve had Camille for a bit over a month now, and she is a wonderful dog. Aesthetically and personality-wise, she’s an exemplary specimen of the breed. Camille is a gorgeous, beautifully patterned sesame. She’s loving, playful, and self-assured, but also calm and observant. She integrated into our household seamlessly and her and our other Shiba-baby get along wonderfully. We’ve seen a marked improvement in our other pup’s anxiety, a decrease in barking (which Camille is not particularly prone to), and increased activity and play. These two dogs are like sisters.
