Meet the breeder

I'm Maryanne & Rob C., the breeder behind Daydreamer located in Kearneysville, WV. Daydreamer is located in northern West Virginia, in the Harpers Ferry area, about one hour west of DC. We are committed to providing small numbers of top quality dogs for family pets and service duty. Our dogs come from service lines and have shown a remarkable aptitude for service and support work. We take pride in knowing that our puppies are successfully working in schools, nursing homes, with special needs children, veterans, and as mobility and emotional support dogs. Using Puppy Culture techniques helps us ensure that new owners are getting not only a healthy pup, but a pup that is properly socialized and already knows a few things about bathing, crates, potty training, and how to handle new experiences. Our goals are happy healthy puppies, and happy people.

Q. & A. with Maryanne & Rob

  • Why did you start breeding?

I was born into it—Poodles! Then my husband and I spent years near water and enjoyed raising family and water friendly Labs. Loving both Labs and Poodles led us to Doodles, and now we are total GoldenDoodle and Golden Retriever fans ! We are constantly amazed by their intelligence and willingness to assist their humans.
  • What makes your program special?

Commitment to excellence. Genetic health screening wasn't available when we first began breeding years ago, and we are thrilled to have it now. Temperament is key - many of our puppies will go on to be service animals, and we selected our first breeding females from service lines. We are Puppy Culture believers, plus we are very lucky to have a veterinarian in our family!
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Goldendoodle puppies include petite, miniature, medium, and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Goldendoodle puppies include cream, apricot, red, chocolate, black, merle, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Maryanne and Rob were great to work with. They keep me up to date on my puppy throughout the whole process. Upon my arrival to take my baby home, I was provided with lots of very helpful information, it had been a while since I had raised a puppy so any and all tips and information was very welcome. And here I am enjoying my beautiful, healthy new friend.

We found Maryanne and Rob to be very helpful and nice. They have a lot of knowledge to share about their dogs and raising puppies. They really care about their animals. They gave us everything we needed to give our puppy a good start in our home. Maisie is a lot of fun and brings us a lot of joy. She settled in right away. I would recommend Maryanne and Rob wholeheartedly.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Tessa is smart, cuddly, wild, and loved by all. Theo, my youngest grandchild said, “She is the best dog on earth.” Thank you for her care and your kindness.

Maryanne was the best breeder I could ever ask for! She answered any questions I had prior/after getting the puppy. Very knowledgeable and thoughtful to us and her dogs. Sent me tons of videos and pictures too. I was also surprised by the fact she gave us the full list of things needed to welcome the puppy ( toys, food, treats, food bowl, collar, leash, pee pad, etc. ) It is clear she truly loves her dogs makes sure their puppies have everything needed to live happy lives. Also my puppy turned out to be very handsome cute dog, he gets compliments anywhere he goes. Overall, I’m very grateful I met Maryanne and for my lovely puppy. I would want to come back to them in the future if I decide to get another doggie😊🩷

Maryanne and Rob are the best possible breeders! They care about their animals and know what they are doing. Maryanne was always available for every possible question and generous with giving Enzo (aka Grigio) a great start. The puppy is smart, friendly, healthy and happy. He got his STAR puppy certificate on his 6 month anniversary! I highly recommend Daydreamer Doodles.

This was my first experience working with a breeder and I was so impressed! Maryanne kept us updated about the litter we were interested in and even let us come out to bond with the puppies in person. We are so happy we our little Pepper! She is so healthy, smart and well adjusted with the kids.
