Meet the breeder

I'm Carla G., the breeder behind Debonair Dogos located in San Diego, CA. The Dogos we have bred, have earned over a hundred Championship titles combined, thus far with AKC, UKC, FCI, ARBA, IABCA. We also firmly believe that the Dogo Argentino is first and foremost a working breed. We have produced many Dogos that are successfully hunting, showing, working and loved members of the family.

Q. & A. with Carla

  • Why did you start breeding?

Our Patriarch Stud dog Diego born in 2001 had proven himself in the show ring even at the FCI level and his health tests had all come back to our expectations he has passed on his Superior traits to his sons SIRIUS and VINNY. Diego had also earned his CGC and ATTS temperament test titles. We have been breeding for over 20 years and are preservation breeders.
  • What makes your program special?

The Dogo Argentino is the Ultimate Large Game Hunting Breed and should be respected as such. We are not into showing our dogs for titles and fancy ribbons we are out there in the show ring to prove our dogs have the form of the FCI Standard. We have carefully chosen our Dogos and have waited years to aquire a few of them. Breeding and showing Dogos is a passion and not something we treat lightly.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

From the very beginning, Carla was professional, knowledgeable, and passionate about breeding healthy, well-tempered Dogos. The care she put into her Dogos was evident, and it was clear that she prioritizes the well-being of each animal. My new puppy is healthy, happy, and has the sweetest temperament—everything I could have hoped for in a companion!
