I'm Melissa H., the breeder behind Deer Creek Goldens of WV located in Horner, WV. Our puppies are bred and raised in our home and are exposed to many sounds, smells, and are socialized with many different people. They come pre-spoiled for sure. We sell our puppies with limited registration, full available with approved cases only, and we have a written contract.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We have both American and European Goldens in our family. Research shows that European Goldens have a slightly lower rate of cancer and we want to be sure that our puppies have a greater chance of living life cancer-free so our litters are usually a mixture.

  • What makes your program special?

    All of our dogs are health tested either by Paw Print Genetics or Embark Genetics. We only breed dogs that are cleared from genetic conditions. We are currently working on having all of our dogs’ hips and elbows cleared by either PennHip or OFA.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Goldendoodle puppies include miniature and medium sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Golden Retriever puppies include golden and light golden. Goldendoodle puppies include apricot, red, merle, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
