I'm Lynn R., the breeder behind Del-Star Kennels located in Hilliards, PA. I put out well-balanced puppies. I try and cover all the situations they will encounter in their new homes here with their siblings.
Q. & A. with Lynn
Why did you start breeding?
After doing field work for nearly 35 years, I wanted to stay with dogs without baking in the sun for the rest of my years. I had owned my own dogs over the years had a couple of litters, but was mostly a trainer. I had worked training IDD Labradors for the Department of Defense. When I came back home to PA after that job it was time for a change. In that job, I learned so much more than fieldwork.
What makes your program special?
Over the past several years I have had three of my puppies placed in the Hero Dog Program. This past year I also have placed a dog with the United States Veterans Service Dog. He was placed with a veteran for mobility and PTSD. Also last year a pup is being trained by the owner for PTSD. I also learned how to match the perfect puppy with the best owner.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
