Meet the breeder

I'm Denise H., the breeder behind Denise Hawkins' Corgis, Swedish Vallhunds located in Grand Ledge, MI. They are AKC and UKC registered with many champions in the background and a few right up close and personal.

Q. & A. with Denise

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have always raised dogs. Breeding dogs or horses or any livestock has always been in my blood. I am passionate about improving the line. I have some of the nicest Corgis and Swedish Vallhunds you’ll ever meet. I love to study the pedigree and match up the best dogs to meet the breed standard and produce some of the nicest animals with all the quality and characteristics you want in your canine companion.
  • What makes your program special?

My dogs are of good health, temperament and stay true to the breed standard. I believe that if you commit to producing dogs of sound structure and take care of their minds and bodies, your pups will grow up to be happy, healthy, and beautiful. I am proud to be raising these wonderful dogs and will always commit to maintaining the highest quality standards for my program.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Swedish Vallhund puppies are gray. Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppies include fawn, red, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.
