I'm Denise R., the breeder behind Denise's Shih Tzus located in Chattanooga, TN. I have over 30 years experience with the Shih Tzu breed. The only breed I would ever have. Our dogs are bred for health and temperament along with a love for our family members and with a focus on conformation, intelligence and the most loving temperament. We are dedicated to providing our families with wonderful, healthy, family members. Also Riley and Otis both have AKC Champion blood lines.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I have breed in the past with another Shih Tzu and had great success. My Zoe was a moma of 5 heahlty babies. We screened the all applicants for the life time care of these babies. All were placed and love until the end.

  • What makes your program special?

    Riley and Otis both have AKC Champion blood lines. We not only breeding, we are also loving these babies. They will be my main focus till they meet you. I will make sure they will be socialize, vet checked and most of all loved. When they are able to touch grass they will be taken out side as we have a large fenced in back yard.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies are black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Denise

Denise has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Denise partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“My goal is always to place each puppy where they will thrive - Once buyer has completed the Good Dog application, had a conversation with me, and been fully approved as a good fit for one of our puppies. A deposit is also required to hold a spot on the reservation list.”

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 deposit and between $1,500 - $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Pet price for male puppies is $2,000.00. Breeding rights $2,300.00 Pet price for females puppies is $2,500.00 All puppies, regardless of gender or registration type, go home with: AKC registration paperwork, Health guarantee, Shots, Socialization, Go home swag bag. A $500 deposit is required to reserve a puppy. The deposit will be applied toward the total purchase price. All deposits are Non-Refundable once a puppy has been assigned or reserved. If a buyer chooses to withdraw from the purchase for any reason after committing to a specific puppy, the deposit will be forfeited. The remaining balance is due prior to pick up or a the the time of pickup, as outlined in the purchase agreement. *If the breeder is unable to provide the reserved puppy due to unforeseen circumstances, the deposit will be refunded.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
