Cecelia has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Cecelia partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 8 weeks old.
“At 8 weeks old the puppies will be evaluated by a canine behavioral professional to determine the best home environment for each puppy to thrive in. They will be introduced to puppy ENS and puppy culture. Starting at 3 weeks old the puppies will begin being trained on table manners for grooming as I am a professional groomer of 10 years. They will be raised in my home with a 4 year old toddler and exposed to different environments. ”

Cecelia may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Cecelia offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Cecelia directly.
When you pay and communicate on Good Dog, you’re covered by Payment Protection.

Good morning! We have a new litter of puppies from a different sire and while I was registering the new puppies on AKC I saw some of the registrations from this litter weren’t complete. They are paid for, all I need is your contact information so we can get that over to you and you can start doing AKC things with your dog! AKC isn’t limited just to conformation, there’s so many other awesome activities to watch your pup enjoy! Xoxo Sol of the South

Wisp and Azalea's litter

There has been so much going on it has been hard to keep up so I’ll try to remember everything. First up, Azalea. She got gangrenous mastitis over the holiday weekend which ruptured so she’s on antibiotics and daily bandage changes until she heals. It has been traumatic to say the least but despite it she’s still a great mom and enjoys when I let the babies out to see her. We’ve done so much over the last 2 weeks. The puppies haven’t quite gotten the hang of the potty boxes yet, although they’re getting pretty good they are at least keeping all their messes on one side of their pen which makes cleaning easier for me. All puppies have been bathed and had their faces shaved, feet shaved, and tails banded. A few of them have also had a poodle puppy cut “rough in” where I basically scissored in their butts to keep them clean and help with table manners when they leave me. Small sessions from me make for long term success in the future. We’ve added different types of beds that include cots not only for cleanliness but also to help the puppies build confidence climbing up onto a platform. We just switched from puppy mush to puppy soggy food with probiotics to help their bellies. Their special satin lined sparkley collars from Celtic K9 have come for their go home bags. I will start sending photos to choose colors. I have multiple other gifts for you and your puppy to help ease their transition as well as to say thank you for choosing us to be part of your family. We’ve also started crate training and the puppies are so comfortable that they fall asleep after eating. Feeding in a crate at a young age helps build comfort in the crate being a safe place. We have a water splash pad they’re learning how to play with and it’s so cute watching them splash. They love getting to come out of the pen and play with their big brother Dutch. Go home dates are coming very fast and while I will miss every single one terribly, I’m so excited for every single person that gets to bring one home! Temperament tests are this Tuesday with structure evaluations to follow! See you soon! Xoxo Sol of the South

Valentino and Azalea's litter

It’s been a big week for the babies! Everyday something new is introduced and they get more and more curious about things. This week they tried puppy gruel for the first time which was a big hit of course! We shaved faces and feet and first baths are later today. We expanded the pen to include a play area with some new toys that they immediately started playing with. Watching them grow is so great and watching the personalities start to bloom is so exciting. When they hear my voice when they’re sleeping they wake up and come to me with their tails wagging all trying to climb in my lap. We have some seriously sweet snuggle bugs. They were all wonderful for their first “grooms” and I can’t wait to see them all fluffed up from their baths. I have placed an order for their go home collars from Celtic K9, you will each get a tiny satin buckle rhinestone collar. We also received the AKC litter registration certificate so everything is documented and will be ready to transfer at the time of pickup. Remember I pay for it, all you have to do is fill out the information and mail it to AKC. Additional documents like pedigree certificates are available at cost to you but the registration itself will be complete. I’m working on special gifts for each of you and your baby to help make the at home transition as easy as possible. I’m so excited to keep sharing the amazing growth and personalities of these sweeties. I try to share something at least once a day on my kennel Facebook page and at least weekly on here 🐩💜💙

Today we celebrate the babies being 2 weeks old! They are growing tremendously and have begun walking instead of shuffling. And to make it even more memorable 5 babies have opened their eyes today and the rest are not far behind. Thank you to everyone who has chosen us and trusted me to be your breeder and your support for life. I have ordered the puppies go home collars from Celtic K9 I can’t wait to show them all to you!

I have just finished weigh ins for the day and dang these babies are growing fast! My smallest baby, the white collar girl has managed to double her weight in 5 days. This makes me so so happy. A few of the babies were “milk drunk” and didn’t even wake up for their weights. I could tell Azalea was getting a little stir crazy so I took her outside and we played fetch for a little bit to get some of her energy out. She’s dirty now but very happy. I’m so excited for the 6 families that have made the decision to welcome one of these babies home and I’m so honored you have chosen us.

Good evening everyone! Boy are we ALL exhausted. All of the puppies appear to be doing great and are nursing with ease. Tomorrow will be their first outing when they go to the vet for the first time to get their dew claws removed and tails docked. All puppies in the litter will be receiving this not only for cosmetic purposes but leaving the dew claws on athletic dogs such as standard poodles, sets them up for a higher chance of injury later on in their daily activities. Mama Azalea continues to amaze me, she powered through labor like it was nothing and has been very attentive to all her babies. She is resting as much as she can, and I’m making sure she gets plenty of water and nutrients. I will respond to applications after we rest

I think the time has finally come for those especially who don’t follow my Facebook page, we are in the early stages of labor I believe. Yesterday we had temperature of 99.8 and this morning is even lower down to 99.5. There is not much time left until these babies are here

Everyday is spent preparing a little more and more! Today we cleaned, disinfected, and assembled the whelping box. Our last litter, Azalea wasn’t quite on board with going inside but as soon as I got it all ready she jumped right in. Tomorrow will be bath day for mama. I am waiting to give her a haircut until closer to her due date. I also have maternity photos scheduled for her! We are thrilled with the amount of interest we’ve received in such a short time. Currently my three open spots on my reservation list is full, but please continue to send applications of interest so we can talk and once puppies are born and have made it through the first 72 hours successfully I will reach out for final confirmation of reservation. Thank you for your support! We look forward to having all of you as part of the Sol of the South family!! Xoxo Cecelia, Azalea, & Dutch 🐩🐩

If you follow my Facebook page you know the exciting news that pregnancy is confirmed! Azalea goes in for her final puppy count and xray on June 2. Applications are currently open however I’m only accepting 3 until the puppies have survived the first 72 hours of life. Please still send your applications in! Know that applications aren’t considered accepted until a deposit has been paid and a contract is signed. Azalea’s body has really started to take a change in the last week she has the cutest baby bump(s) forming

Poodle
About Dutch
Dutch is my bred by future silver stud dog. He will be 2 years old on 11/7/2026 and once his OFA testing is complete along with his AKC championship he will be available to approved females. He is very sporty, obnoxiously loving, very easy going and easy to train. I’ve never met a dog or person he doesn’t like, although he takes a moment to warm up to new people.

I am so in love with Sterling. She is a bundle of pure joy. Sterling is thriving and that is because Cecelia was an attentive and responsible breeder, meeting all of the puppies' needs before sending them to their forever homes. Cecelia was very easy to work with throughout the process of the puppy becoming mine. She was thoughtful and caring about the puppies and I wish her luck in her future breeding adventures.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
